Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoonsavocado oil (or other neutral-flavored oil)
  • 4 tablespoonsflour
  • ⅓ cupchili powder
  • ½ teaspoonground cumin
  • ½ teaspoongarlic powder
  • 6 ouncestomato paste
  • 3 ¼ cupschicken broth (vegetable broth for vegan)
  • ¼ teaspoonapple cider or white vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoonsalt (or to taste)

Directions

    Heat the oil over medium heat. Add flour to the oil, then cook and stir for 2 minutes.

    Stir in chili powder, ground cumin, garlic, powder, and tomato paste. Cook and stir continuously for another minute.
