Seafood Boil Sauce - Garlic and Butter Dip

This seafood boil sauce is incredibly versatile and can be served poured over cooked shrimp, crab legs, corn, and sausage. Or as a dipping sauce for cooked prawns, lobster or langoustines. Try mixing with mayonnaise for a creamy sandwich spread.It's also wonderful with steak or chicken It's a great way to add flavour to your seafood dishes, whether you're cooking at home or outdoors on the BBQ. There are so many possibilities! This seafood boil sauce recipe is simple to follow and easily adjusted to your own preference.

Ingredients

  • 1 Small Onion (Finely diced)
  • 6 Cloves Garlic (Finely diced)
  • 250 grams Unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar ((optional))

Directions

    Finely chop 1 Small Onion and 6 Cloves Garlic by hand or in a food processor.

    Chop 250 grams Unsalted butter into smaller blocks and add to pan over medium heat. Stir until all melted.

    Add the garlic and onion to the melted butter

    Cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Add 3 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning,1 tbsp Smoked Paprika, 2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme, 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder, Black Pepper and Salt Stir through.

    Squeeze the juice of 1 Lemon and add 1 tbsp Brown Sugar (if using).

    Cook for the final 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Serve whilst still warm.
