Preheat oven to 425°.
Thoroughly wash your sweet potatoes. Poke about 10 holes in each sweet potato. Bake them for 45 minutes or until soft enough to mash.
While the potatoes are cooking, to create your crust mixture, combine your brown sugar, flour, chopped pecans, and butter in a mixing bowl. Set this aside.
Once the sweet potatoes are done cooking, mash them In a separate bowl. Combine your sugar, salt, vanilla, eggs, and butter (in that order) with your mashed sweet potatoes. Mix this very thoroughly.
In a medium baking dish (lightly greased), pour in your sweet potato mixture. Lightly sprinkle your crust mixture on top. Bake this for 30 minutes at 350°. Don't forget to drop your oven to 350°.
Let this cool for at least a half hour and enjoy!
