Four layer tortilla pie with refried beans!
Preheat the oven to 350-degrees F, and ensure the center rack of the oven is ready.
Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over high heat. When the oil is hot, add the ground beef. Cook the meat while stirring and breaking it up to crumble with a spoon until just a small amount of pink remains. Sprinkle the chili powder, salt and pepper over the meat, and cook all the way through.
Turn the heat off, and pour the ground meat into a separate bowl. No need to wipe the skillet clean. Place one tortilla in the skillet, and spread one-quarter of the refried black beans on one tortilla.
Top the tortilla with one-quarter of the ground meat, 1/4 cup of the corn, about one-quarter of the jar of salsa, and 1/4 cup of cheese.
Repeat with the remaining 3 tortillas.
Slide the skillet into the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted the mixture is warm throughout.
Sprinkle the shredded lettuce on top, slice into wedges and serve.
