    ½ tsp
  • each of garlic powder

    onion powder, and smoked paprika

    1 tsp
  • minced garlic

  • crispy fried onions
  • bacon

    cooked and crumbled

    6 pieces
  • melted butter
    2 tbsp
  • sesame seeds

Directions

  1. 1

If you don't have any bacon leftover from breakfast, cook at least 6 pieces of bacon however you'd like! I prefer to bake it in the oven at 400 degrees F on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. It usually bakes for about 25 minutes.

  2. 2

Cook 1 lb of ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Once the ground beef is browned, drain any extra grease from the skillet. Add the minced garlic and BBQ sauce. Stir well.

  3. 3

Slice King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls in half and put the bottom of the rolls in a greased baking dish or on a sheet pan.

  4. 4

Add a layer of pepper jack cheese. Add the ground beef on top of the cheese. Top the ground beef with shredded colby jack cheese, some crumbled bacon, and crispy fried onions. Top with a little bit more BBQ sauce if desired!

  5. 5

Put the tops of the slider rolls on and brush them with melted butter. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!

About this Recipe

Craving a quick and easy weeknight dinner that will delight everyone at the table? These BBQ Cheeseburger Sliders are the ultimate family-friendly meal, delivering big flavors in a compact, irresistible package.

This recipe works wonders by combining the irresistible sweetness of King's Hawaiian original sweet rolls with savory ground beef, smoky BBQ sauce, and a double dose of melty cheese. It’s a clever way to turn classic cheeseburger cravings into a fun, assembly-style dish that feels special yet comes together without a fuss.

Prepare for a delightful blend of sweet and savory in every bite. The soft, buttery King's Hawaiian rolls cradle perfectly seasoned beef patties, infused with garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika, then glazed with tangy BBQ sauce. Melted pepper jack and Colby Jack cheeses create a wonderfully gooey finish, beautifully complemented by the satisfying crunch of crispy fried onions and savory bacon bits. You'll love the balance of textures and flavors, making these sliders a comforting yet exciting dinner option.

Feel free to get creative with your sliders to suit any preference. You can swap pepper jack cheese for a milder cheddar or a sharper provolone if you prefer. For a vegetarian option, seasoned plant-based patties could work, though the classic beef is truly special here. If you're short on time, pre-cooked bacon can be a real time-saver, or simply omit the bacon and crispy fried onions for a more streamlined version.

These BBQ Cheeseburger Sliders are perfect for busy weeknights, casual gatherings, or even as a fun appetizer for game day. Serve them as they are, or alongside a simple green salad or some crispy potato wedges for a complete meal.
