- 1 tsphot sauce
- ½ tspsesame oil
- ⅛ tspground ginger

- 2eggs
- 1–2 tablespoons peanut oil
- ½ cdry white wine
- 3 clovegarlic
- 1 smallyellow onion
- ¾ cpeas
- ¾ ccarrots
- 3–4 green onions
Directions
- 1
Rinse the white long grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium pot, bring 2 cups of chicken broth to a boil. Add the rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-18 minutes or until the broth is absorbed and the rice is tender. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, honey, hot sauce, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Set aside to allow the flavors to blend.
- 3
Slice the steak into thin strips. Season with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of peanut oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and sear quickly until browned but still tender, about 2-3 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove steak from the pan and set aside.
- 4
In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed, pour in the whisked eggs, and scramble until just set but still moist. Transfer eggs to a plate and set aside.
- 5
Add remaining peanut oil to the pan if necessary. Add minced garlic and diced yellow onion; sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent. Add frozen peas and carrots, cook for another 3-4 minutes until thawed and tender. Pour in the white wine and let it reduce slightly for 1-2 minutes.
- 6
Return the cooked steak and scrambled eggs to the pan with the vegetables. Add the cooked rice and pour the prepared sauce over the mixture. Toss everything together on high heat to combine and heat through evenly, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the diced green onions last to maintain their fresh flavor.
- 7
Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary, such as adding salt, pepper, or extra soy sauce. Serve hot for a delicious and hearty fried rice dish.

Tips for Perfect Beef Fried Rice
- Choose Your Steak: While strip steak is fantastic, feel free to use other quick-cooking cuts like skirt, flank, or sirloin steak for your stir fry beef rice. Always slice it thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
- Pre-Cooked Rice is Key: For the best fried rice, use leftover, chilled rice. This prevents it from clumping and gives you those distinct, chewy grains. If you're cooking fresh, make sure to cool it completely before using.
- Veggie Power: Don't hesitate to customize your vegetables! Add bell peppers, corn, or bok choy for extra color and nutrition. Just make sure to chop them small so they cook evenly and quickly.
