About this Recipe

Craving that irresistible olive oil bread dip from Carrabba's that makes you reach for just one more piece of bread? You can recreate that beloved restaurant experience right at home with this incredibly simple copycat recipe.

Why This Dip Works

The magic lies in the carefully balanced blend of aromatic dried herbs and spices, brightened by freshly crushed garlic. This combination creates a depth of savory, herbaceous flavor that perfectly complements good quality extra virgin olive oil, making it an instant crowd-pleaser and a significant upgrade from plain oil and vinegar.

What to Expect

With this dip, you'll discover a richly aromatic experience, bursting with a savory medley of garlic, onion, and classic Italian herbs like oregano, basil, and parsley. The hint of crushed red pepper adds a subtle, pleasant warmth, while the coarse sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper provide essential counterpoints that make every bite sing. It's designed to transform simple, crusty bread into a delightful, flavorful appetizer, ready in just minutes.

Customization & Variations

Feel free to adjust the crushed red pepper for more or less heat to match your preference. For an extra punch, you can always add a bit more freshly crushed garlic. While extra virgin olive oil is crucial for the authentic flavor, you could experiment with different high-quality olive oils to find a nuanced profile that you love. If you prefer a milder garlic note, consider letting the dip sit for a short while before serving, allowing the raw garlic's intensity to mellow slightly.

Serving & Context

This Copycat Carrabba's Olive Oil Bread Dip is perfect for casual entertaining, a cozy family dinner, or simply as an elevated snack. Serve it alongside warm, crusty artisan bread like a baguette, ciabatta, or a rustic Italian loaf for an authentic, satisfying appetizer.
