Tips for the Perfect Holiday Nog
- Chilling is Key: While total prep and cook time is minimal, allowing your nog to chill for at least 3 hours (or even overnight) is crucial. This helps the flavors meld beautifully, creating a smoother, richer drink.
- Serve it Your Way: Both versions are delicious served chilled, perhaps garnished with a sprinkle of fresh nutmeg or a cinnamon stick. For a cozy twist, gently warm the non-alcoholic versions over low heat, being careful not to boil.
- Customize Your Spirits: Whether you prefer the warmth of bourbon in your classic eggnog or the sweet almond kick of Amaretto in your almond nog, feel free to adjust the amount of alcohol to your taste, or omit it entirely for a family-friendly beverage. This recipe empowers you to create the best how to make homemade eggnog experience for your holiday gathering.
