- ½ cbeef broth
- 2 tspWorcestershire sauce

- 8 ozpizza sauce

- ¾ lbpenne pasta
- ¼ cParmesan cheese
- 2 ½ cwhole milk/low moisture mozzarella
- 25 slicepepperoni
- 1 tsporegano
- 1 tspbasil
- ½ tspgarlic salt
- 1 pinchred pepper flakes
Directions
- 1
Measure all ingredients before beginning. Heat a large pot of water and bring it to a boil, generously salting the water with about ¾ tablespoon kosher salt. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, ground sausage, and diced onions. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add diced green bell pepper and cook 5 more minutes until meat is fully browned. Drain excess grease from skillet.
- 3
Reduce heat to medium. Pour in beef broth and use a silicone spatula to scrape and loosen any browned bits from the bottom and sides of the skillet. Add minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4
Stir in marinara sauce and pizza sauce until fully incorporated. Let the sauce simmer partially covered on low heat while you cook the pasta, about 8 minutes (1 minute less than al dente according to packaging).
- 5
Reduce sauce heat to low and add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined. Drain the pasta and add it directly to the skillet with the sauce. Stir well to coat the pasta evenly.
- 6
Transfer the pasta mixture to a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish if your skillet is not oven-safe. Spread evenly. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by arranging pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
- 7
Cover the casserole with foil sprayed on the side facing the cheese to prevent sticking. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- 8
Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden to your preference. For extra browning, broil at 450°F for about 1 minute, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- 9
Optionally garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then serve. Enjoy your pizza pasta!
