Add 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, 1/3 cup sourdough discard, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and mix until it resembles a crumbly cookie dough consistency. Use your hands to crumble it evenly over the blueberry filling.

Tips for a Perfect Sourdough Cobbler
- Berry Choices: While blueberries are stellar, feel free to experiment with other fruits! A mix of peaches and blueberries, or even a pure blackberry cobbler, would be delightful. Just ensure your total fruit measurement remains around 5 cups.
- Flavor Boost: For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a touch of almond extract to your topping or a sprinkle of coarse sugar before baking for a sparkling, crunchy crust.
- Serving Suggestions: This warm, bubbly sourdough blueberry cobbler is heavenly on its own, but truly shines when served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream or a dollop of freshly whipped cream. The cool creaminess provides a wonderful contrast to the warm, fruity base.
