Blueberry Mojito
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
plus more for garnish
- 10-12 fresh mint leaves
plus more for garnish
- ½ lime
cut into wedges, plus more for garnish
- 1 ounce simple syrup
or 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 ½ ounces lime juice
freshly squeezed
- 4 ounces white rum
- Crushed ice
- Sparkling water
or seltzer or club soda
Directions
- 1
Divide and layer cut lime wedges, mint leaves, and blueberries between two highball/collins glasses.
- 2
Add the simple syrup (or granulated sugar) and use a metal or wooded muddle to gently crush the contents of the glass together for about 30 seconds. This allows the oils and juices to release and blend, creating the signature drink flavor.
- 3
Pour the lime juice and rum into the glasses, then fill them almost to the top with crushed ice. Add a splash of sparkling water, seltzer, or club soda and stir well.
- 4
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge, whole blueberries, and sprigs of mint, if desired.

About this Recipe
The Blueberry Mojito is the ultimate summer cocktail that combines the classic Cuban mojito with sweet, antioxidant-rich blueberries. This refreshing drink brings together fresh blueberries, aromatic mint leaves, zesty lime, and smooth white rum for a vibrant twist on the traditional recipe.
Perfect for backyard barbecues, pool parties, or relaxing summer evenings, this cocktail takes just 5 minutes to prepare and serves two. The natural sweetness of ripe blueberries pairs beautifully with the herbaceous mint and tangy lime, while the rum adds that perfect kick.
To make the best Blueberry Mojito, start by muddling fresh blueberries with mint leaves and lime wedges to release all those wonderful flavors. Add simple syrup for sweetness, fresh lime juice for tartness, and white rum for the classic mojito base. Top with crushed ice and sparkling water for that effervescent finish.
This fruit-forward mojito variation is incredibly versatile. You can adjust the sweetness to your preference, use honey or agave instead of simple syrup, or even make it a virgin mocktail by omitting the rum. The beautiful purple hue makes it as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious.
