About this Recipe

Protein-Packed Ice Cream That Tastes Like Your Favorite Candy

Craving the nostalgic taste of chocolate peanut butter cups without derailing your nutrition goals? This Ninja Creami recipe transforms simple ingredients into a creamy, high-protein frozen treat that delivers 450 calories of satisfying indulgence in a single serving.

What makes this recipe special is the clever combination of chocolate peanut butter cup protein powder with real peanut butter and sugar-free chocolate pudding mix. The result is a rich, candy-like flavor that rivals premium ice cream, but with a macro-friendly profile that works for anyone tracking their nutrition. The xanthan gum acts as the secret weapon here, creating that smooth, scoopable texture you'd expect from traditional ice cream without any added sugar or heavy cream.

Expect a dense, creamy frozen dessert with prominent peanut butter notes and deep chocolate undertones. The texture is remarkably smooth thanks to the protein powder and pudding mix working together to prevent ice crystals. Using unsweetened vanilla almond milk as the base keeps this naturally lower in sugar while adding a subtle vanilla warmth that complements the chocolate-peanut butter combination. At 450 calories per serving, this makes an excellent post-workout treat or a guilt-free dessert that actually contributes to your daily protein goals.

Easy Customization Options:

  • Swap almond milk for any milk alternative you prefer—cashew, oat, or regular dairy milk all work
  • Use any flavor of egg white protein powder to create different variations
  • Adjust peanut butter quantity based on how pronounced you want the nutty flavor
  • Try sugar-free vanilla pudding mix for a less chocolatey version

This recipe yields a generous single serving, perfect for satisfying individual cravings without the temptation of a full batch sitting in your freezer. The beauty of the Ninja Creami is that you can prepare the base, freeze it, and spin it fresh whenever the mood strikes. Enjoy this straight from the machine for soft-serve consistency, or let it firm up in the freezer for a more traditional ice cream experience.
