About this Recipe

Craving a guilt-free frozen treat that tastes like a peanut butter banana milkshake? This protein-packed Ninja Creami creation delivers 380 calories of creamy, satisfying goodness with zero guilt.

Why This Recipe Works

The magic here is the combination of xanthan gum and Greek yogurt, which create that impossibly smooth, scoopable texture without any ice crystals. The chocolate peanut butter protein powder and PB2 deliver double the peanut flavor while keeping calories in check, and the banana yogurt adds natural sweetness and tang that balances the richness perfectly.

What to Expect

This frozen treat strikes the perfect balance between light and indulgent. The almond milk base keeps it dairy-light, while the protein powder and Greek yogurt create a dense, creamy texture that rivals premium ice cream. You'll taste the chocolate-peanut butter combination first, followed by subtle banana sweetness that rounds out each bite. At 380 calories per serving, this works as a post-workout recovery treat, a high-protein breakfast, or a satisfying dessert that won't derail your nutrition goals.

The texture is smooth and scoopable straight from the Ninja Creami—no waiting for it to soften. The xanthan gum is the secret ingredient that prevents that icy, crystallized texture you sometimes get with homemade frozen treats.

Customization & Variations

This recipe is endlessly adaptable to your preferences and pantry:

  • Swap the protein powder for vanilla, plain, or any flavor that complements peanut butter—chocolate, cookies and cream, or even salted caramel work beautifully
  • Use regular peanut butter instead of PB2 for richer flavor (adds about 100 calories)
  • Try different yogurt flavors like vanilla, strawberry banana, or plain Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey
  • Make it dairy-free by using coconut or oat milk instead of almond milk

Serving Suggestions

Enjoy this straight from the Ninja Creami pint as a personal treat, or scoop into a bowl and top with sliced banana, crushed peanuts, or a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup for an elevated dessert presentation.
