- 2 csugar
- 5eggs yolks
- 5egg whites stiffly beaten
- 2 cflour
- 1 tspbaking soda
- 1 cbuttermilk
- 1 tsppure vanilla extract
- ½ tspalmond extract
- 1 cpecans
- 1 cunsweetened coconut
- Icing
- 2 cpowdered sugar
- 4 ozsoftened cream cheese
- 4 ozmascarpone cheese at room temperature
- Note: you can substitute the frosting recipe using all cream cheese if you prefer or all mascarpone)
- ½ cbutter
- ½ tsppure vanilla extract
- ½ tspalmond extract
- ½ ccoconut
- ½ cpecans
