About this Recipe

Craving the comforting, creamy goodness of Olive Garden's Chicken Gnocchi Soup? This copycat recipe brings that beloved warmth right to your kitchen, offering a homemade version of the classic that's perfect for any day.

What makes this homemade version so special is its rich, savory base, meticulously built on aromatic vegetables like thinly sliced celery, grated onion, and grated carrots, all sautéed with minced garlic. Simmered in a robust chicken broth and subtly spiced with ground nutmeg and ground thyme, this foundation truly captures the authentic restaurant flavor. The addition of heavy cream and tender potato gnocchi creates that signature velvety texture and hearty feel you crave.

You'll experience a deeply satisfying bowl of soup, where tender potato gnocchi practically melt in your mouth, perfectly complementing bites of savory cooked chicken. Each spoonful delivers a creamy broth, rich and aromatic, beautifully balanced by the freshness of baby spinach that wilts gently into the soup. It's a comforting, hearty meal that feels both familiar and deeply nourishing, perfect for chasing away a chill.

Easily adapt this delightful soup to your liking. Swap the cooked chicken for leftover turkey, or for a heartier vegetable boost, consider adding diced zucchini or cannellini beans. If fresh spinach isn't available, a smaller amount of frozen chopped spinach (thawed and squeezed dry) can be used in a pinch. For an extra layer of flavor, a sprinkle of fresh Parmesan cheese would be a welcome addition when serving.

This Olive Garden Chicken Gnocchi Soup (Copycat) is perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner, a comforting lunch, or a family gathering. It pairs wonderfully with a crusty piece of bread or a light side salad.
