This rice pilaf stands out due to its thoughtful combination of ingredients: the tender grain of white rice paired with the delicate texture of orzo pasta. The initial sautéing of onion and garlic in butter creates a flavorful foundation, ensuring a savory depth in every bite.
You can anticipate a comforting and satisfying side dish with Sarah's Rice Pilaf. The interplay between the individual grains of rice and the small, pasta-like orzo offers a delightful textural contrast. Infused with the savory notes of chicken broth, butter, onion, and garlic, this pilaf delivers a warm, aromatic, and subtly rich flavor profile that complements a wide array of main courses.
To tailor this rice pilaf, consider substituting chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
