
Slow Cooker Ham and Cabbage
Ingredients
- Leftover Ham with bone
pull chunks off and add to the pot along with the bone
- 2 cextra ham
- 1 largeonion
- 6carrots cleaned and sliced
or 1 cup of finger carrots
- 8potatoes
- 5or 6 cut-up plum tomatoes
fresh or canned
- 2 clovegarlic
- 1 headcabbage
cut into quarters
- 1 canchicken broth
around 1 1/2 cups of homemade
- ½water or white wine
dry, not sweet
- ½ tspeach oregano
basil, garlic powder, thyme, parsley
- salt and pepper
Directions

Spray the liner of a slow cooker with cooking oil or line it with a slow cooker bag.

Cook the potatoes and carrots in the microwave for 5 minutes before adding them to the slow cooker

Place the ham on the bottom first, then the tomatoes on top, then the cabbage, followed by seasonings.

Sprinkle with herbs, cover with broth and water to just above the mixture of cabbage.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Put the slowcooker on high for at least six to eight hours or until all vegetables are soft and the fork tines go through the cabbage easily

Remove the bone and cool. Take any more meat off the bone and add it back into the pot.
