About this Recipe

Transforming your holiday feast into another delicious meal is easier than you think. If you're looking for the absolute best way to use up that leftover Thanksgiving turkey, this comforting Turkey Soup Recipe is exactly what you need. It's a heartwarming bowl of goodness that brings new life to your holiday bird.

This recipe truly shines by building a rich, flavorful broth around tender chunks of cooked turkey, fresh vegetables, and comforting noodles. It’s the perfect antidote to post-holiday cooking fatigue, offering a simple yet profoundly satisfying meal that feels both wholesome and indulgent.

Expect a soup that’s deeply savory, with the rich notes of chicken broth (or turkey stock) mingling beautifully with the aromatic vegetables like carrots, celery, and onion. Each spoonful delivers succulent pieces of turkey, soft elbow noodles, and crisp-tender veggies, all tied together with the fragrant whispers of fresh thyme and a hint of garlic. It's a comforting, belly-warming experience that tastes like home, perfect for chilly evenings when you crave something nourishing and flavorful.

Customizing Your Comfort Bowl

This versatile turkey soup is easily adaptable to your pantry and preferences. While chicken broth is specified, feel free to use turkey stock if you have it on hand for an even deeper, turkey-forward flavor. If fresh thyme isn't available, a smaller amount of dried thyme works perfectly well. You can also experiment with different small pasta shapes if elbow noodles aren't your favorite.

Serve this cozy Turkey Soup Recipe as a comforting meal on its own, perhaps with a side of crusty bread. It’s ideal for a casual family dinner or a cozy lunch, making your holiday leftovers feel special all over again.
