Customization & Variations

While prosciutto is classic, you could experiment with thinly sliced pancetta for a different salty depth. For a different herb profile, consider swapping some fresh basil or thyme for fresh oregano or marjoram to subtly change the aromatic notes. If burrata isn't available, fresh mozzarella balls, torn into pieces, make a good substitute, though they won't offer the same creamy interior. You can also vary the tomatoes by using different heirloom cherry varieties for extra color.

This Basil Chicken Saltimbocca makes for a stunning centerpiece for a dinner party or a memorable family meal. Serve it simply, allowing the vibrant flavors to speak for themselves, perhaps alongside a light green salad or crusty bread to soak up any juices.
