- 2 sticks unsalted butter
melted until browned, 8 ounces
- 1 cup dark brown sugar

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
at room temperature
- 16 pecan halves
