About this Recipe

Craving a creamy, zesty ranch dressing that fits your plant-based lifestyle and comes together in just 5 minutes? This Easy Vegan Ranch Dressing is your new go-to, delivering incredible flavor without any oil or dairy.

The magic in this recipe lies in the cashews, which transform into an incredibly rich and velvety base when blended, mimicking traditional dairy ranch without any added oils. This smart swap creates a truly decadent dressing that’s also whole food plant-based, making it a healthier choice you can feel good about.

Prepare for a dressing that’s luxuriously creamy and wonderfully smooth, with a bright tang from the lemon juice and apple cider vinegar. The classic ranch flavor profile shines through, thanks to a generous blend of dried dill, chives, garlic powder, and onion powder, offering that familiar herbaceousness you love. It’s remarkably easy to make, coming together effortlessly, and is perfect for anyone seeking a wholesome, dairy-free, and oil-free alternative to traditional ranch.

While cashews are key for the creamy texture, you can experiment with different unsweetened plant milks, though almond or oat milk tend to yield the best results. For a bolder herb flavor, increase the amounts of dried dill and chives, or even add a pinch of fresh parsley if you have it on hand. Adjust the salt to taste, or omit it entirely for a low-sodium option.

This versatile vegan ranch is perfect for drizzling over your favorite green salads, serving as a creamy dip for fresh vegetables, or spreading into sandwiches and wraps. It's an ideal addition to any meal, enhancing everything from baked potatoes to buddha bowls.
