Customization & Variations

While this classic combination is beloved, feel free to make it your own. For a lighter touch, you could swap the green pepper for a different color bell pepper. If you're looking to modify it for different tastes, consider a sharper cheddar cheese for a bolder flavor. To keep it vegetarian, simply omit the bacon or replace it with crispy fried onions or toasted nuts for a similar textural element.

This substantial salad is ideal for family gatherings, backyard barbecues, or any occasion where you need a reliable and delicious side dish. Its vibrant layers make it a visually appealing centerpiece that invites everyone to dig in.
