15 oz each chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic
minced
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon minced or grated fresh ginger*
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
for garnish
- Green onions)

- Cooked rice or quinoa

In a small bowl, whisk together water, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, rice vinegar, maple syrup, and minced ginger. Set aside.
