  • salt
    1 tsp
  • black pepper

  • unsalted butter
    2 tbsp
  • yellow onion

    thinly sliced

    1 medium
  • cremini mushrooms

    sliced

    16 oz
  • garlic

    minced

    3 cloves
  • all-purpose flour
    3 tbsp
  • low sodium beef broth
    1 ½ c
  • worcestershire sauce
    1 tbsp
  • dried thyme
    1 tsp
  • sour cream

    or full fat plain greek yogurt

    ⅓ c
  • cooked egg noodles

    mashed potatoes, or rice, etc., for serving

Directions

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned on all sides. Transfer beef to the slow cooker.
