About this Recipe

Craving a dish that’s both comforting and packed with sophisticated flavor? These Baked Meatballs in Guinness sauce are a fantastic choice, delivering a savory, slightly sweet experience that works beautifully for any occasion.

What truly makes this recipe shine is the distinctive Guinness stout sauce. Each meatball is seasoned from the inside out with savory Worcestershire, garlic powder, and fresh onion, then coated in a rich, malty glaze. This unique combination ensures every bite is bursting with deep, complex flavors that elevate a simple meatball to something truly special.

Prepare for tender, juicy meatballs enveloped in a luscious, sticky sauce that balances savory, sweet, and tangy notes. The harmonious blend of Guinness stout, BBQ sauce, honey, and molasses creates an irresistible coating, deepened by a hint of dry mustard. While lean ground beef forms the base, you can easily adapt this recipe. Consider using a mix of beef and pork for an even richer texture, or ground turkey for a slightly lighter option. If you prefer a less sweet sauce, you can slightly reduce the honey or molasses, or add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle warmth. For a touch of fresh herbs, stir in some chopped parsley with the meatball mixture.

These versatile meatballs are perfect for a casual family dinner, a festive appetizer spread, or a delicious game day snack. Serve them hot with toothpicks for easy grabbing, or alongside fluffy mashed potatoes or rice for a complete and satisfying meal.
