About this Recipe
Craving incredibly flavorful, homemade meatballs without the mess of frying? Jen’s Incredible Baked Meatballs deliver on taste and convenience, perfect for a satisfying meal any night of the week. This recipe is a true make-ahead champion, promising deliciousness with minimal fuss.
The genius behind these baked meatballs lies in their simple yet effective ingredient combination and the baked preparation, which ensures consistently tender, juicy results without constant hovering over a stovetop. The rich blend of grass-fed hamburger, grated Parmesan, aromatic garlic and onion, and a generous mix of fresh and dried herbs infuses every bite with a depth of flavor that tastes anything but simple. This method also makes cleanup a breeze.
You can expect wonderfully tender, savory meatballs bursting with comforting, classic flavors. The panko or breadcrumbs, combined with eggs and milk, create a remarkably light and moist texture, while the minced onion and garlic provide an essential aromatic foundation. They’re substantial enough for a main dish, yet versatile enough to star in a hearty sandwich or pair with your favorite pasta.
Jen’s Incredible Baked Meatballs are wonderfully adaptable. You can easily swap the hamburger for a blend of ground beef and pork for an even richer flavor, or try ground turkey for a leaner option. Don't have fresh parsley or basil? A touch more dried oregano will still deliver a great herb flavor. The recipe also offers a brilliant tip: if you have a leftover piece of Parmesan rind, let it simmer in your marinara sauce or save it for another soup to add an amazing flavor boost.
These meatballs are ideal for busy weeknights, meal prepping, or feeding a crowd. Serve them simmering in a vibrant marinara sauce, piled high on a sub roll for a truly "mean meatball sandwich," or simply as a comforting main course alongside pasta, polenta, or mashed potatoes. They're designed to be a weeknight favorite that truly simplifies dinner.
