
Beef and tomato stir-fry
Ingredients
- 248 gbeef steak of your choice
1/2 lb.
- ¼ tspsalt
- 1 tbspoil
- 2 tspcornstarch
- ⅛ tspfreshly ground black pepper
- 2medium-sized tomatoes
- 1medium-sized red onion
- 1stalk spring onion
- 1 inchginger
cut into thin slices
- 2 tspminced garlic
- 2 tbspcooking oil for stir-frying
- 2 tsplight soy sauce
- 1 tbspoyster sauce
- 1 tspsugar
- 1 tspsesame oil
- 1 tbsprice wine
- 1 tspcornstarch
plus 2 tbsp of water to make a slurry
Directions

Cut the beef into thin strips against the grain.

Combine salt, cornstarch, and vegetable oil and marinate for about half an hour.

Cut the green onions (spring onions) into two sections, lengthwise, to separate the green and white parts.

Remove the stems of the tomatoes and cut them into thin slices or as tomato wedges.

Mince the garlic and ginger and keep aside.

Combine soy sauce , oysters sauce, and sugar.

Add three tablespoons of vegetable oil to a wok,

Spread the beef slices into a single layer to let them sear for a little while, then stir-fry until it is nearly cooked and remove it from the wok.
