Easy Sausage Quiche is easy to make & devour. We make this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Who would have thought it'd be one of my family's favorites?!

Ingredients

  • uncooked pie crust
    1
  • sausage

    crumbled and thoroughly cooked

    ¾ lb
  • shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    1 ½ c
  • yellow onion

    diced

    ½ small
  • eggs
    4
  • half and half or whole milk
    1 c
  • dry mustard
    ½ tsp
  • salt and pepper
    to taste

Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  2. 2

Roll out pie crust into pie pan.

  3. 3

Top pie crust with sausage, cheese, and onion. You can mix the sausage, cheese, and onion in a medium mixing bowl and then throw into the pie crust. I prefer to layer it - one less dish to wash.

  4. 4

Mix the eggs and half and half in a bowl with seasonings, and pour egg mixture over toppings in the pie crust.

  5. 5

Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat, leaving the pie in the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 35 minutes. When it is done the top of the quiche will begin to turn a nice golden brown.

  6. 6

Remove from oven and allow to sit 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
