About this Recipe
Craving the ultimate summer bite that’s perfect for sharing? Jordan Andino’s Grilled Barbecue Pork Skewers are designed to be the star of your next cookout, delivering irresistible flavor that will have everyone asking for the recipe.
What sets these pork skewers apart is Jordan Andino’s ingenious barbecue marinade. The blend of rich dark soy sauce, tangy lemon, sweet brown sugar, savory oyster sauce, and an unexpected touch of Coca-Cola creates a deeply complex flavor profile that tenderizes the pork and develops incredible char on the grill.
Prepare for succulent cubes of pork butt, marinated to perfection and grilled until beautifully caramelized with slightly smoky edges. Each bite is a symphony of sweet, savory, and tangy notes, balanced by the aromatic garlic and a hint of black pepper. These skewers are designed to be incredibly tender on the inside with that desirable grilled exterior, making them a fantastic appetizer for casual gatherings or a delightful main course served alongside your favorite summer sides. The marinade works wonders, ensuring every piece of pork is infused with robust barbecue flavor, perfect for warm weather entertaining.
While pork butt is a fantastic choice for its marbling and tenderness, you could experiment with other cuts like pork shoulder or even chicken thighs for a similar effect. For a different flavor twist, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade for a subtle kick. If you're out of oyster sauce, a bit more dark soy sauce with a touch of sugar can offer a similar depth, though the unique umami of oyster sauce is truly special.
These grilled pork skewers are the quintessential summer appetizer, easy to handle and bursting with flavor. They also make a fantastic entrée when served with rice or a fresh salad, elevating any backyard barbecue or family dinner.
