About this Recipe

Craving that classic, comforting meatloaf your family will rave about? This homemade meatloaf recipe delivers a tender and juicy interior, perfectly complemented by a sweet and tangy chili glaze caramelized right on top. It's a foolproof meal designed for ease and maximum flavor.

What makes this Meatloaf Recipe truly shine is the thoughtful combination of ingredients. We start with 90% lean ground beef, ensuring a robust flavor without excess grease. Shredded cheddar cheese melts into the mixture, contributing to an incredibly moist texture, while a precise blend of Italian seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes adds layers of savory depth. The standout sweet and tangy chili glaze elevates every bite, setting this homemade version apart from the ordinary.

Prepare for a truly satisfying main course with this meatloaf. Each generous slice is wonderfully tender and juicy, packed with rich beefy flavor and savory spices. The melted cheddar cheese adds a creamy element, beautifully balanced by the bright, caramelized chili glaze. It’s a hearty, comforting dish that brings warmth to any dinner table, perfect for those evenings when you crave a deeply flavorful and easy family meal.

While this recipe is fantastic as written, you can easily make a few tweaks. If you prefer a different cheese, Monterey Jack or even a sharp white cheddar would be excellent in place of the cheddar cheese. For a milder profile, you can reduce the amount of red pepper flakes in the meatloaf mixture. You can also adjust the sweetness of the glaze by slightly altering the brown sugar or sweet chili sauce to your preference.

This comforting meatloaf is ideal for a hearty family dinner, providing 8 generous servings. It pairs beautifully with classic side dishes like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
