The best thing about this recipe for the sauce is it is that you can tweak the amounts until you get it the way you like it best! And, baste for the chicken and chops on the grill!
Clean and prepare chicken place in bowl and pour buttermilk over it. Set aside.
In a separate bowl or gallon size Ziploc bag, mix flour and all dry ingredients together. Set aside.
In a sauce pan melt the butter. When the butter has melted, add all other ingredients and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat to low and let simmer while you make your chicken.
Heat enough oil in a deep skillet, pan or deep fryer (whatever you use to fry in). Get heat up to 350-375 degrees.
While oil is heating up add all the chicken to the flour mix, shaking buttermilk off as you add it to the dry mix.
Fry chicken wings until done (bone-in wings take around 15 mins. and so does the chicken breast) Bumping heat up and down as needed to fry the chicken until done.
Remove chicken to a paper towel covered plate or rack to drain. When all chicken is done and drained place chicken into a large bowl and slowly pour sauce over and toss to coat. You might not need all the sauce to coat I pour half over chicken and toss then serve it with the sauce on the side to dip in :)
ENJOY! Happy Cooking!!
