About this Recipe
Tired of bland weeknight meals? Discover how this Brussels sprout and pork stir-fry transforms humble ingredients into a flavorful, satisfying dish that comes together quickly.
This recipe champions the often-misunderstood Brussels sprout, demonstrating that when cooked swiftly in a hot stir-fry, these small vegetables become incredibly flavorful and tender-crisp. Combined with tender pork leg steak, it’s a weeknight game-changer that highlights how good things really do come in small packages.
Prepare for a symphony of savory and umami flavors, with the distinct, slightly sweet nuttiness of perfectly cooked Brussels sprouts taking center stage. The pork leg strips become beautifully tender, absorbing the rich sauce made from soy, oyster sauce, and dry sherry, brightened by fresh ginger, garlic, and a subtle warmth from a fresh red chili. It’s a balanced, vibrant dish that feels both comforting and exciting, delivering authentic stir-fry goodness to your table.
Feel free to experiment with different proteins like chicken or firm tofu for a lighter meal. If you're out of dry sherry, a splash of mirin or even a touch of chicken broth could work as a substitute in a pinch. For extra heat, don't hesitate to add more fresh red chilli or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
Perfect for a busy weeknight or a relaxed weekend dinner, this stir-fry is best served immediately over fluffy steamed white rice to soak up every last drop of the delicious sauce.
