About this Recipe

Tired of bland store-bought salad dressings? Discover how effortlessly you can create a vibrant, zesty homemade vinaigrette right in your kitchen using ingredients you already have on hand. This simple recipe will transform your salads and elevate your marinades.

This simple lemon vinaigrette stands out because it combines the bright tang of lemon juice and white vinegar with a balanced blend of aromatic spices like minced garlic, paprika, oregano, and thyme. It's a foundational recipe that tastes incredibly fresh, allowing you to easily avoid artificial additives found in many store-bought options and ensuring maximum flavor.

Prepare for a burst of fresh flavor with every drizzle. This homemade vinaigrette offers a perfectly balanced profile: a zesty brightness from the lemon and white vinegar, complemented by the savory depth of minced garlic and a warm, earthy base from paprika, dried oregano, and dried thyme. The subtle sweetness from sugar rounds out the acidity, creating a versatile dressing that elevates any salad. You'll find it incredibly easy to whisk together, transforming simple greens or proteins into something special.

Feel free to customize this vinaigrette to your taste. For a milder tang, you could slightly reduce the lemon juice or white vinegar. You could also experiment with adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick if you enjoy a bit of heat. Beyond salads, this versatile dressing makes an excellent marinade for chicken, shrimp, or a medley of fresh vegetables, infusing them with bright, herbaceous flavor before cooking.

This vinaigrette is perfect for enlivening everyday salads, bringing a fresh, homemade touch to weeknight dinners, or as a flavorful marinade for your next grilled meal. Its bright profile makes it a refreshing addition to any spread.
