The touch of lemon oil in the batter further brightens the overall flavor profile.
You'll discover a waffle that's wonderfully soft on the inside with just the right amount of crispness on the outside. Customization & Variations
The mixed berry syrup is incredibly versatile. Feel free to use any combination of the suggested frozen berries you have on hand, whether it's just blueberries, or a specific mix of raspberries, strawberries, and cherries. For a slightly different twist, you can swap the lemon juice for orange juice in the syrup to highlight a sweeter citrus note. You can also experiment with different extracts in the vanilla whipped cream, though vanilla truly shines here.
These lemon ricotta waffles are ideal for a leisurely weekend breakfast or an impressive brunch spread. Serve them fresh off the waffle iron, generously topped with the warm berry syrup and a cloud of vanilla whipped cream for an unforgettable meal.
