About this Recipe

Craving that irresistible sweet and savory beef and broccoli you get at your favorite restaurant, but want to make it at home without the fuss? This slow-cooker recipe delivers rich, tender sirloin and vibrant broccoli with minimal effort, making it perfect for busy weeknights.

Why This Recipe Works

The beauty of this slow-cooker method is how it transforms simple ingredients into a deeply flavored, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Thinly sliced sirloin steak gently braises for hours, infusing every bite with a savory-sweet sauce. It’s a truly hands-off approach to achieving robust, comforting flavors.

You can look forward to incredibly tender sirloin steak bathed in a glossy, umami-rich sauce that's perfectly balanced between sweet brown sugar and savory soy sauce, with just enough kick from the sriracha to keep things interesting. The fresh broccoli florets are prepared to retain their bright green color and crisp-tender texture, providing a delightful counterpoint to the rich beef. Served over fluffy jasmine rice and garnished with fresh green onions and sesame seeds, this dish is a complete and satisfying meal that feels special, yet is surprisingly simple to achieve at home.

Customization & Variations

While delicious as is, this slow-cooker beef and broccoli is also wonderfully adaptable. You could easily swap the sirloin steak for another thinly sliced cut of beef. For an extra boost of freshness and flavor, consider adding a squeeze of lime juice just before serving. If you prefer less heat, simply dial back the sriracha or omit it entirely.

Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or casual entertaining, this comforting dish pairs beautifully with cooked jasmine rice to soak up all the flavorful sauce. Garnish with extra sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for a polished presentation.
