This is easy to make and totally comforting. I make it for breakfast and dinner a lot!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Breakfast Sausage
  • pinch Chili Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Sage
  • 3/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Real Salt
  • Pepper
    to taste
  • 4 Tbsp Einkorn Flour

    or your favorite healthy flour

  • 2 - 2 1/2 cups Milk

Directions

    Place the beef or pork in a saucepan and cook over medium/high heat, breaking the meat into small crumbles as it cooks.

    Add the chili flakes, ground sage, garlic powder, and salt to the meat.

    When the meat is fully cooked and bits are becoming crisp and golden brown, stir in the flour. Cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly, to cook out the starchy flavor.

    Add one cup of the milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes thick.

    Stir in the remaining milk and bring back to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly, for another 1 to 2 minutes, or until desired thickness is reached.
