About this Recipe
Looking for a comforting, easy-to-make family dinner that everyone will love? This Turkey Meatloaf recipe delivers classic flavors with a healthier twist, using lean ground turkey for a meal that feels both wholesome and deeply satisfying.
This Turkey Meatloaf stands out by using panko breadcrumbs and milk (or beef broth), which work together to create an incredibly moist and tender loaf, expertly avoiding the common dry texture often associated with turkey. The combination of savory Worcestershire sauce, aromatic garlic and onion powders, and a bright herb note from parsley creates a rich, complex flavor profile that elevates this weeknight staple.
You can expect a wonderfully tender and flavorful meatloaf, seasoned generously and brought to life with a blend of classic spices and fresh parsley. The meatloaf is crowned with a tangy, slightly sweet glaze, a delightful mix of ketchup, BBQ sauce, and brown sugar, which caramelizes beautifully as it bakes. This creates a delicious crust that complements the moist interior, making for a hearty dish that's perfect for a cozy meal.
Feel free to customize your Turkey Meatloaf to suit your pantry or preferences. For a richer flavor and different texture, you can use half ground turkey and half ground beef. If you don't have fresh parsley on hand, dried parsley works perfectly in its place. For the glaze, experiment with your favorite BBQ sauce, or adjust the amount of brown sugar for your desired sweetness. You can also swap out the milk for beef broth when mixing the meatloaf ingredients for an extra layer of savory depth.
This hearty Turkey Meatloaf is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or a special Sunday family meal. Serve it alongside mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad for a complete and satisfying spread.
